The Meeting Site

Seattle is a city rich in natural beauty complemented by an active cultural and educational community. Like many large cities, Seattle is really a collection of neighborhoods or districts that combine to give the appearance of one homogeneous urban center. Whatever you seek in leisure, recreation, entertainment, dining, or intellectual and cultural pursuits, you'll find it in Seattle.
Summer weather in Seattle is almost always comfortable, with an average high temperature in late June and early July in the low 70s. So, besides your meeting, summer is a perfect time to enjoy many Seattle area attractions such as ferry cruises, the Pike Place Market and Pioneer Square. Great places to hike, bike, fish and have a picnic are nearby.
Founded in 1861, the University of Washington is the oldest state-assisted institution of higher education on the Pacific coast. The University is nationally recognized for its high quality faculty and its standards of academic excellence.
The University of Washington campus is located between the shores of Lake Washington and Lake Union, a few miles northeast of downtown Seattle and east of Interstate 5.(see map)
