ASIH 1997 Joint Meetings
ELHS-AFS Symposium
"Juvenile Fish Studies: Contributions to
Early Life History and Recruitment Processes"

For a list of the speakers, and the titles of their talks, see Session 18.
This session will consist of a morning program of invited speakers
whose talks will consist primarily of reviews of broad concepts
(e.g., food limitation, density dependence) pertaining to the
juvenile stage examined across several taxa as well as overviews
of studies on individual species used as examples to address a
single concept. Invited talks will focus on the marine system
and cover a wide variety of species and habitats as well as a
broad geographic range. These talks will be 30 minutes each including
time for questions and discussion. Several speakers are being
solicited; others are welcome to contact the convenors if they
are interested in being considered. There will also be a session
of contributed speakers addressing both marine and fresh water
topics which will be 15 minutes in duration. Papers are solicited
for this session for any studies on juvenile fishes, including
those which focus on a single species. Student papers are especially
encouraged in this session. For more information contact: Richard
